2023 has so far been an incredibly difficult year for the Carl Cox Motorsport / Uggly&Co by Binch Pro squad. Beginning the year with Sam Laffins on the championship-winning Junior Superstock Yamaha R6 and Kiwi Damo Rees on the British Supersport Carl Cox Motorsport with Uggly&Co by Binch Pro Yamaha R6, the team has faced tragedy in the incredibly sad loss of Damo through illness and experienced a raft of frustrating crashes in Junior Supersport for Sam. Those crashes resulted in the team and Sammy going their separate ways before Thruxton. The Northern Irishman is an exceptional rider but his lack of consistency left the team with little option. To compound the season, Sam Munro, crashed early
in proceedings in Hampshire damaging his hand and fingers, ending his weekend there and then. How long the Scotsman is out for is yet to be determined but we wish him well in his recovery.
