Back home, a raft of announcements have been made in the BSB paddock as Danny Kent joins the new-look McAMS Yamaha by Mar-Train team; Dean Harrison, in what was the worst-kept secret of the year, joins Honda Racing for BSB and the international road races alongside Andrew Irwin and it’s good to see Manxman Nathan Harrison get another chance with the squad after an injury-hit 2023. BSB Champ Tommy Bridewell is yet to find a home for ’24, rumours of a Honda move seem to have died down and with his relationship with PBM somewhat strained, it’s unlikely he’ll defend his title in the red of Cumbria. Options are slim for the Wiltshire man with only PBM and TAS having obvious seats available. There are rumours of 6-time champ Shane Byrne running his own team, but when pressed on this by our good friends at Off Track Podcast recently, Byrne said it wasn’t possible to do on his own due to the costs involved. You can catch the full chat on YouTube and wherever you get your podcasts from on 13 th December. Be sure to check out their other episodes in the meantime, though!
