The Armoy Road Races gave us another proper weekend of racing in Northern Ireland, filled with fast laps, close battles and a brilliant atmosphere around the circuit. Uggly&Co travelled across with the stand, plenty of race weekend essentials and two supported riders ready to take on one of the most popular meetings on the road racing calendar. By the end of the weekend, Marcus Simpson and Mike Browne had both delivered results worth celebrating.

Back at One of Northern Ireland’s Great Road Races

Armoy has a character that is difficult to recreate anywhere else. The racing takes place through the roads around the village in County Antrim, bringing fans close to the action and creating the kind of atmosphere that keeps people returning year after year.

That is exactly why events like Armoy matter so much to Uggly&Co. Our brand has grown around motorcycles, racing and the people who keep the sport moving. Being trackside gives us a chance to support the riders directly, meet the fans wearing our clothing and remain part of the culture that inspires what we create.

Marcus Simpson Takes Classic Superbike Victory

Marcus Simpson delivered one of the standout Uggly&Co results of the weekend with victory in the Classic Superbike race.

Marcus arrived at Armoy with strong pace and showed it from the beginning. He topped Classic Superbike qualifying before carrying that speed into the race. Under pressure from an experienced group of road racers, he stayed composed, managed the course and brought the bike home in first place.

The result was made even more impressive by the lap record performance noted during the weekend. Road racing gives riders very little room for error, particularly on a course where every section requires full concentration. Taking a win while producing record pace shows the level Marcus is currently riding at.

His success at Armoy continues a strong period for the Manx rider. Marcus has developed into a familiar name across the Irish roads, the Isle of Man and classic racing events, combining natural speed with the determination required to compete on changing road circuits.

We are proud to support Marcus and to see his personality represented through pieces such as the Retro Diamond Light Blue and Orange Beanie and the Retro Blue and Orange Diamond Trucker Hat.

Mike Browne Starts the Weekend with a Win

Mike Browne also made sure the Uggly&Co name was represented at the front.

He opened his winning account in the Supertwin race, taking victory and setting the tone for a hugely successful meeting. Mike had already shown his speed in qualifying, recording the fastest lap speed for the Open feature class before converting that pace into race results.

As the weekend continued, he became one of the main figures of the meeting. His control, confidence and ability to perform across different classes showed exactly why he is considered one of the strongest riders on the Irish road racing scene.

Mike eventually completed a four win weekend, including the Supertwin opener, the Open race, a Supersport victory and the Race of Legends. That final win confirmed him as man of the meeting and gave him consecutive Race of Legends victories at Armoy.

For supporters of Mike and the wider Uggly&Co racing family, the Vintage Denim Diamond Baseball Cap is available with an option featuring Mike Browne racing logos on the side panels.

The Uggly&Co Stand at Armoy

The racing was the main event, but the weekend was also another chance for us to bring the Uggly&Co stand directly to road racing fans.

We travelled with a range of caps, tees, hoodies and race inspired pieces, giving visitors the chance to pick up everything they needed for the weekend. Northern Irish weather can change quickly, so having a warm layer, a fresh cap or something new to wear beside the course always comes in useful.

More importantly, the stand gives us the opportunity to speak with people who support the brand. Online orders and social media are a huge part of what we do, but nothing replaces meeting customers face to face. We get to hear which products people love, which riders they follow and what they want to see from future collections.

Why Road Racing Remains at the Heart of Uggly&Co

The Armoy Road Races represent the type of motorcycle culture that Uggly&Co was built around.

Road racing depends on committed organisers, volunteer marshals, local communities, teams, sponsors and fans. Everyone plays a part. The sport feels personal because the people involved genuinely care about keeping it alive.

For us, supporting riders is not simply about placing a logo on a bike or race suit. It means following their progress, celebrating the good weekends and standing behind them when racing becomes difficult. It also means showing up at the events where the community gathers.

Every purchase from Uggly&Co helps us continue supporting motorcycle racing, riders and the projects connected to the sport. You can explore our full racing merchandise collection to find clothing and headwear inspired by the riders and teams we work with.

A Weekend to Remember

Armoy delivered everything we hoped it would. Marcus Simpson took a brilliant Classic Superbike win, Mike Browne produced a dominant four victory weekend and the stand stayed busy with fans throughout the meeting.

We left Northern Ireland proud of both riders and grateful to everyone who visited us. Results like these make the travelling, preparation and long days worthwhile.

The bikes may have moved on to the next event, but the memories from Armoy will stay with us for a long time. Another road race weekend completed, another set of stories added and another reminder of why we continue chasing the racing.
