UGGLY&CO Binch Racing in association with Carl Cox motorsport has announced their foray into the
British Supersport Championship with Kiwi ace Damon Rees. Having already announced Sam Laffins
as their contender and defender for the Pirelli National Junior Superstock crown, the Mansfield-
based squad is excited to make their full-time debut in the middleweight class after Max Cook took a
Carl Cox Yamaha R6 machine to a creditable finish at Brands Hatch at the end of last season.
Speaking of Carl Cox, the legendary DJ and proud supporter of motorcycle sport paid the World
Superbike paddock a visit at the opening round at Phillip Island and spent time with the Rokit BMW
Motorrad WorldSBK team over the weekend. Cox has also recently announced that his Carl Cox
Motorsport organisation will compete in the 2023 Extreme E all-electric SUV motor racing series that
gets underway in Saudi Arabia this weekend. Following in the wheel-tracks of Lewis Hamilton, Nico
Rosberg, and Carlos Sainz Snr as team owner, Cox said “Cox said: “I’m here to make a difference. To
have the opportunity to be part of something so dynamic on four wheels is a dream come true.
Racing, like music, is in my blood and I’m going to bring my passion and energy into this series and
build something special.
“Participating in electric racing is new to me but I’m a fast learner and will bring my hard-earned
know-how and experience into the mix at Extreme E. Carl Cox Motorsports is here to take on all
comers and we are going to jump straight in. We are in it to win it.”
